I arrive about sunset; I walked up the ascending streets
Pasting the old buildings towards the old square
I became aware of an extraordinary moment
The music filled every sense, every ounce of my being.
It was peaceful in its melodic rhythms.
It took you away in a sea of dancing souls.
Smiling faces strung out on the bliss of song
And dance.
Bare foot in the grass, hands reaching to the sky
Embraced in the hypnotic trance that
Was sought for by many over the long winter months
The release of the summer from its cold slumber
The sun is down; the light show fills in the sky
And everyone danced with multi-colored lights
Embraced for the moment
Only for the night,
This is tonight . . .
