Trampling on the flowers,
Squashing the vegetables.
Up turning the potted plants
On the edge of the grass.
No concern on what your doing.
The older couple comes out
Of there home and see the damage.
How sad and angered they are.
Unfourtunate the way things are.
Disbelief, this is the only
Thing they can believe.
They cleaned up the mess.
Put everything away.
And they find themselves talking
About moving from there or putting up
A fence.
But they thought about this and realized
That the fence wouldn't work.
Time moves on.
And things change.
